See me in action!
Data science & AI spotlight
There’s almost* nothing I love more than sharing my favorite things — science, data, comedy, and circus — with audiences. Explore below for just a few examples of my work in various combinations of the above. You can also find pretty much everything else across my YouTube and Instagram.
Data science for everyone series
I created 24 videos with highlights of key concepts from my NYU course, Data Science for Everyone, which I developed and taught for 11 semesters with some truly stellar co-instructors.
Is AI our future teacher?
I was a guest on the Bloomberg Original TV show, AI_IRL where I got to talk with their superb hosts about the role of AI in education. A key theme, no surprise, is that critical thinking and scientific reasoning will continue to be important no matter what!
Keynotes & speaking
I’ve had the honor of speaking at a variety of amazing events and with incredible audiences around the world. Alas, most of the events are not filmed (I promise this is true), so I don’t have a ton of footage of this! But, here are a few that were recorded and that I found particularly fun.
You can find more on my YouTube channel, and I’m certainly happy to chat further with you about places I’ve spoken — from Global Fortune 500s to tech companies to nonprofits to the UN — just get in touch!
A bit more fun!
Here are a few more appearances and shows I’ve rather enjoyed. There’s a ton more where this came from on my YouTube channel!
Professor lives double life.
It was very fun to be profiled by the New York Post about my life as both a professor and a circus performer. If you want even more circus, here’s my performer reel and here’s me in a music video (I secretly love being in music videos please book me).
Beyond the punditry about misinformation
Here’s a recent appearance on the Daily Tech News Show where I shared some surprising research findings from Joshua Tucker and the Center for Social Media and Politics about misinformation.
Data for good: what sports can learn from other industries
Here’s an example of me facilitating a panel — this time at the fantastic MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference!
Alternative voting is the future!
There’s a lot of fuss about Ranked-Choice Voting, but the really mathematically pure voting system is Approval Voting and I will never stop talking about it.
